Donations Requested for VA 'Hoptel'
Submitted by Mark Romer on May 15, 2009 - 1:26pm.The Memphis VA Hospital is renovating the top floor to provide hotel-like rooms for patients and families who come in and stay overnight. The VA is looking for donations to help fund the renovations. The FedEx Retiree's club is funding the renovation of the "lobby" and other common areas, and they are asking for other organizations to fund individual rooms. It will cost a total of $3,500 to fund a double room and $2,500 to fund a single room. The request has been made for the Knights of Columbus councils to work together to fund one of these rooms.
Donations should reference the GPF779 fund and should mention the KofC to be grouped together for a KofC room. Donations should go to:
