Prayers for Fr. Gabe (Updated 04/09 09:35)

See below. The Diocese has announced the visitation and funeral arrangements for Fr. Gabe.

I just got word from Rick Alsobrook that Fr. Gabe Difederico has "coded" and has been taken to the ICU. Word is that he is not responding to their attempts to revive him. Please say a quick prayer for Fr. Gabe.

I just talked to the St. Louis parish office. The receptionist told me that Fr. Gabe is doing better today. He is still in ICU, but he is responding a bit and he is trying to speak. Keep the prayers coming!

Rick Alsobrook went to see Fr. Gabe in the hospital yesterday. He is alert. He is off the respirator, and is breathing on his own. According to Rick, the first thing he asked for once he could talk was a Coke.

I just heard from a couple of sources that Fr. Gabe passed away this morning. Funeral arrangements are pending, and will be announced after Easter.

Yesterday at Mass, Fr. Martel announced that Fr. Gabe's visitation will be this coming Friday, the 13th, at St. Louis Church. The funeral Mass will be Saturday the 14th, also at St. Louis. Update: The funeral will actually be at the Cathedral.
