July 7 Planning Meeting Highlights
Our new Grand Knight, Greg Krog, called for an officers' planning meeting right after his election. He, Deputy Grand Knight Peter McCann and Financial Secretary Mark Romer met on July 7 to do a little brainstorming. Highlights include:
- We are hosting a Second Degree before our July 21 meeting. We need to use the newsletter, CallingPost, and other means to reach out to our membership and get them to the Degree and the Meeting.
- We have a parish breakfast at Holy Rosary in the upcoming Sunday. We should make up some signs to put in the cafeteria, advertising the July meeting and the Second Degree.
- We need to have some type of family social gathering this summer, most likely a pool party or something like that. We need to do more to get our families' together so they can get to know each other better.
- The West TN Kickoff Meeting is July 26. We will make CD copies of our Eucharistic prayer booklet to hand out to each of the councils at the meeting.
- Greg wants to ramp up our breakfast schedule to once per month. We should also pursue doing something similar at St. Louis to raise more money for the seminarians.
- We need to get a couple more Knights to round out the MR Drive committee, to make sure the burden of planning and arranging the drive is spread out a bit more.
- Once we have a council calendar put together, we should e-mail a copy of it out to the membership.
