We've just been informed that Adam Williams has stepped down as a Field Agent for the Knights of Columbus Agency.  Let us all wish him well in whatever comes next.  In the meantime, our council will be served by John Ross.

For the time being, the Insurance Forum will be closed to new postings, since we don't know yet how quickly any questions would get answered.

How many of us have bought items to benefit a particular charity like rolls of wrapping paper, candy, popcorn, car washes, or coupon books? How many of us went to a spaghetti dinner even when we were on a low carbohydrate diet because it benefited a worthy cause?

I'd like to start a discussion area where people can go to ask an insurance question and get a researched answer to their question regardless of company or policy. Please feel free to ask away and I'll do my best to answer you here or privately if you wish.

Attention all people 45 years old and up--On your birthday this year, you will be getting a letter from our Governor, Phil Bredesen. Unfortunately, it’s not good news for many of you. It’s a letter telling you that the State of Tennessee is asking you to get your own insurance for your long-term care needs. In fact, he says that it’s your responsibility to do this because the state cannot afford to care for you.

Buying life insurance is something that’s easy to put off until tomorrow. And if your life is as busy as mine, tomorrow can easily become next week, next month, or even next year.
