What Is the Cash Value?
Submitted by Mark Romer on August 26, 2007 - 3:56pm.I have several whole life policies on members of my family, and I get brief statements on each of them once a year. My statement shows the current dividend, the paid-up additions (PUA) being purchased with that dividend, and the total PUA balance.
Some Bishops just do not get it
Submitted by gkiesel on August 17, 2007 - 12:04pm.In late June, in anticipation of Pope
Benedict XVI’s motu proprio Summum Pontificum, Bishop Patrick Cooney of Gaylord, Mich., instructed his priests that all Masses must be celebrated in English, and that if any priest wanted to offer Mass in another language, supposedly Latin, a variance must be received from the chancery.

Attention Italian Festival Crew!
Submitted by Mark Romer on June 15, 2007 - 11:15am.Last year, at the end of the Italian Festival, someone took down and put away two items that we were using for the Mary display. I thought we would see them come back this year, but they did not show. One item was the pair of floodlamps that I had strapped to a gazebo pole and trained on the statue. The other item is a largish wooden crucifix with a metal corpus, which I had hung on the central lattice behind the statue. These items belong to the KofC, and I would like to get them back if we can.
Does anyone recall seeing these items, or know what happened to them? Please call me at 322-1044 or e-mail me at markromer@comcast.net if you have any information about them.
New Subscription Capability
Submitted by Site Admin on April 18, 2007 - 3:25pm.I have added a module to the web site that allows registered users to subscribe to content. At the bottom of an item you'll see a link called "subscribe post". If you click on it, you will activate a subscription for that posting that will send you an e-mail whenever a comment is posted on that thread. The e-mails will be sent to the address configured in your user profile, so make sure that it is up to date.
