Christmas Card Sales

We are selling Christmas cards as a fundraiser this year.  Proceeds will go into our council charities account.  Eric Granger is spearheading this project, and he needs your help.  We start to take orders this weekend.  We need people to man tables after each of the Masses for the next four weekends.  As you can see, we still have several blank slots on the schedule.  Please check your schedules and let Eric know when you can help.  You can reach Eric at eric_granger@yahoo.com.

Here is the Keep Christ in Christmas Order Form.  Feel free to print copies of it and use them to sell cards in other venues.

New Honorary Life Members

Our council has two new Honorary Life members. Brothers Jose Alfaro and Lee Piovarcy have attained this status because of their longtime service in the Order.

Honorary Life membership is awarded to those Brother Knights who have reached 70 years of age and have maintained membership in good standing for at least 25 continuous years.

Please join me in congratulating these two brothers of ours.

Silver Rose

Silver Rose

The Silver Rose prayer service at Holy Rosary went great. We had a total of ten in attendance (not bad for a first time). Grand Knight Adam Williams led the service, with Fr. Martell giving the final blessing at the end.

Prayers for Adam Williams - UPDATE: Adam's Back Home

I just found out that our Grand Knight, Adam Williams, had a heart attack this morning.  I spoke to his son on the phone, who says that Adam is doing OK and may be able to come home from the hospital in a couple of days.  I do not know which hospital he is in.  If anyone has more information, please let me know.

Obviously, while he is recuperating, Adam will not be able to work much.

Keep Adam, Mig and the kids in your prayers.

Update: Adam is back home and says he's doing OK.  Keep the prayers coming!

Note to Trustees: This would also be a good time to get the semiannual audit completed.

Updated: Madonna Learning Center Field Day

See http://www.kofc.org/node/2422 for time and location information.

Madonna Learning Center's Field Day is coming Friday, May 20. As usual, our council will be cooking up hot dogs for lunch, and we'll be handing out trophies to all the participants.

A big thank you to Newton's Trophy Corner for donating the trophies!

I need help! I've taken charge of this event without ever having worked it before, so I don't really know what to do!
